Our congregation’s altar (center) and pulpit (left).

We gather in worship to find meaning and live more deeply.

Worship creates connections within, among, and beyond us, calling us to our better selves, calling us to live with wisdom and compassion.

Unitarian Universalist worship styles vary by congregation, and even within congregations. Some congregations’ worship is contemporary and high tech. Some congregations’ worship is traditional and formal. Some features exuberant music, some includes long periods of silent reflection.

Our congregation is new and growing in both size and substance. You may find a thought-provoking look at UU Principles and Values, a meaningful ritual or a social justice challenge. We may use video sermons or invite retired or blossoming ministers to our pulpit. We may invite guest speakers from the community. Though each service is unique, one thing is for sure: our congregation will always be a place to build community.

Elements you can expect in each of our Sunday worship services include:

  • Words of welcome
  • Lighting the chalice, the symbol of our faith
  • Music, both instrumental and vocal and in a variety of styles
  • A time for lifting up the joys and concerns of the congregation
  • A meditation or prayer
  • Readings—ancient or contemporary
  • A sermon given by a professional minister, a guest speaker, or a member of the congregation
  • An offering, collecting financial donations for the congregation or for justice work in the community.

As we are still growing as a congregation, we do not currently offer a children’s program, but our space does have a “busy table” available for children and youth looking for something to do during the service. Children and youth are also welcome to attend the service with their parents.

Our services are casual, so please dress comfortably.
