Land Acknowledgement

A note from the 2025-2026 Managing Team:

Recently, we have decided to pause reciting the land acknowledgement at the beginning of our services. After some deliberation, we’ve agreed that the acknowledgement no longer serves its purpose, but instead has become performative and empty. If we truly wish to acknowledge the land and the indigenous peoples to whom it belongs to – the Native Peoples who continue to resist occupation and assault – we must respect their sovereignty!

We must advocate for LAND BACK!
